We recorded a few songs a couple of times on various albums. Not counting these repeats, The Macs recorded 400 completely different songs and tunes. I don't think it adds anything new including such albums as: "The Best of The McCalmans", "McCalmans' Folk" or "In Harmony" compilations on the Bandcamp collection, though "In Harmony" was a cracker, and by far the best of those mentioned. "Veronica" was one such repeated song and we gave it a bit of an updated arrangement and it was fine, but I think I preferred the first version. The lead voice is doubled up and quite "reverby" and there are shades of "Turn Again" in the arrangements. Also, I manage to sing sharp on the word "dawn". Yes I do.
Drums are not our style but it was done well. There are a couple of tracks on every album where we wondered about songs being out of place but, in retrospect, I think that perceived "problem" was probably a positive rather than a negative.
