Leon Rosselson's brilliant song about a boy with fire in his soul. Rosselson is one of the very best of the folk revival song-writers. We had Tim McGuire in our repertoire for years. Popular song and very charismatic. I start with "Fire Down Below" which should be sung with a bit of attack so the sound level was set accordingly. Trouble came when they didn't reset it for "Tim McGuire" but they got there in the end. I think, overall, the engineers made a great job of the sound.

Hamish on mandolin. Derek playing really even paced rhythm guitar, he was great at that. I played a kind of running claw-hammer throughout. Bit of a strange combination.
