about

Attributed to Lady Nairne, this song appears in "Songs of the North", which is where I found it. I read from the web that "wud" means "free" but it makes more sense if it translates to "mad". Sorry about that. Great Jacobite song and it doesn't compromise a bit. The group was in form and almost all the songs on this album were used in our "live" performances in the early seventies. Rick Nickerson was on the whole album, playing electric bass, RCA were keen to have a bass on the album and Nick was a definite asset. Great player and a good lad.
