about

Matt McGinn wrote this song about the southern Borders region of Scotland. Matt has, in retrospect, become a Scottish National Treasure and it's well deserved. We played many times with Matt and many of his ilk: Hamish Imlach, Alex Campbell, Derrol Adams, Pete Seeger and Iain MacIntosh, all sadly missed. It was a hard life on the road in those days, though Seeger defied the early exit tradition.
