about

Ian found this song in a second-hand music book. For many years he hunted round the old book stores of Edinburgh looking for poems and songs and many of the recordings in future albums were the result of that interest. In this one, Derek couldn't bring himself to sing "George our loyal king" so he slipped in "James" instead. Sorry. That's the price of the oral tradition.
