Also called "O Willie Was a Wanton Wag". This was the last song which we recorded in the 2 day session. I had voice strain and it's not the song anyone should try with a knackered larynx. I got through it... just.
I think King Willie is William IV ("silly Billy", honest) and maybe the Adie Laidlaw mentioned is Princess Adelaide, I've got to look into that. This Lockdown just isn't long enough. If it is King William IV he died in the same year as James Hogg.
