about

Not one of my better singing performances but it got the job done. Again feeling for concert pitch in the unaccompanied bit at the start. Not my finest hour, but the arrangement settles in quickly. Johnnie Cope is one of the best known of the folk revival chorus songs, particularly if you're Scottish. We won this particular battle and in this album we refer to two battles, Flodden and Bannockburn. Win some, lose some.
