about

I cannot tell a lie, I heard this song sung by Kenneth McKellar on Radio Scotland. We included this song on "Singers Three" but it was wee bit slow and dreary so we tried to make a better job of it at this attempt. It was customary, for some years, for the Macs to sing an unaccompanied song in front of the microphones as our first song. It was a statement to say: "we might not be great singers but we're bloody loud". "To people Who Have Gardens" was often chosen for that job.
