about

Fast! I definitely had all my teeth when I sang the verses here. We never sung this song at gigs, thank goodness, and so it really needed to be rehearsed a lot to get on top of the quick text.
I think there are two banjos, Hamish plays 4 string and I play 5 string and, surprisingly, it sounds quite good. There's a mandolin and a guitar as well. The alternative title is "Brogues and Brochin' and A'". There are quite a few tracks on this album which have alternative titles but I took my information from a very old book of 700 pages, about the life and works of the very old James Hogg and so, the very old "Defence" rests.
The picture is page 2 of the 4 page album.
