about

This is the second Macs' album, pretty good and varied material, but too much reverb but remember it was recorded in 1969 when reverb was used too much on folk records at the best of times. Derek's classic, "Kirsteen", is on this album and there are other tracks which lasted quite a few years in the Macs' ever-changing repertoire. The sleeve notes were based on a poem, "The Singers" by Longfellow. Ian had just found it in one of the poetry books he had just bought whilst looking for singing material.
