about

1977. Recorded at Olympic Studios, Chelsea, London.
We were growing up, musically, but not too fast.
This album has a first side and a second side. The first side is fine, but it didn't concentrate on what we were good at, that is, Scottish songs. The second side is better.
All was going extremely well for the group and it's worth saying again that our aspirations, as always, were both "musical" and having a great time, but we were swept away by what we experienced.
We were lucky enough to be singing in the great folk clubs of the time, Europe was opening up for us and we had maintained a commitment to new songs.
I can honestly say that we had no yearning for stardom and the like. Just as well. Our feet were firmly placed on Scottish soil but we were amazed by all that was happening.
